Simplift Privacy Policy

Simplift ("Simplift," "we," "us," or "our") provides a workout tracking application that lets users log exercises, sets, workout history, and subscription status. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and the choices available to you.
By using Simplift, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information in connection with the app:
Account and Profile Information
When you create and use an account, we may collect:
- email address
- first name
- last name
- internal user ID
- preferred units (lb or kg)
- selected avatar
- subscription status (Premium or non-premium)
Workout and Fitness Information
When you use Simplift to track your workouts, we may collect:
- exercise names you create or save
- exercise list data
- dates on which you performed exercises
- workout history
- set-level workout entries, such as weight and reps
Purchase and Subscription Information
If you purchase or restore a subscription through Apple, we may receive and process subscription-related information necessary to unlock premium features, such as:
- product identifiers
- entitlement status
- purchase or subscription status
We do not collect or store your full payment card details. Payments are processed by Apple.
Limited Device Storage
Simplift stores a limited amount of information locally on your device, including:
- your internal user ID
- the date an upgrade prompt was last shown
2. How We Use Information
We use the information described above to:
- create and manage your account
- authenticate you and keep you signed in
- verify your email address
- provide workout logging, history, and analytics features
- save your profile preferences, such as units and avatar
- enable, restore, and manage premium subscription access
- provide support when you contact us
- maintain app security, integrity, and reliability
3. How Information Is Stored
Simplift currently uses third-party service providers to support app functionality, including:
- Google Firebase Authentication for account authentication
- Google Firebase Firestore for cloud data storage
- Apple StoreKit / App Store for subscription purchases and entitlement handling
Workout, account, and profile information may be stored in cloud infrastructure provided through Firebase.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information.
We may share information only as needed:
- with service providers that help us operate the app, such as Firebase
- with Apple to process subscriptions and restore purchases
- if required by law, legal process, or valid governmental request
- to protect the rights, safety, security, and integrity of Simplift, our users, or others
5. Tracking, Advertising, and Analytics
Based on the current version of Simplift, we do not use third-party advertising SDKs in the app and do not use the app to track you across other companies' apps or websites for targeted advertising.
We also do not currently integrate third-party mobile analytics or crash reporting tools in the app code beyond the services necessary for authentication, storage, and subscriptions.
6. Subscription Information
Premium subscriptions are offered through Apple as auto-renewable subscriptions.
- Apple manages billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and payment methods.
- Simplift uses Apple subscription information to determine whether premium features should be available to your account.

7. Data Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Simplift and for legitimate business and legal purposes.
Examples include:
- account and workout data while your account remains active
- subscription status data while needed to provide premium access
- limited operational or security records as reasonably necessary
If you create an account but do not verify your email address, your unverified account and related user record may be automatically deleted after a short period of time.
8. Your Choices
You may be able to:
- update profile details within the app
- delete your account from within the app
- cancel your subscription through your Apple account settings
- contact us to request help with your account or data
9. Account Deletion
Simplift allows users to initiate account deletion from within the app.
If you choose to delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your account information and associated workout data, except where we are required or permitted to retain certain information for legal, security, fraud-prevention, billing, tax, or operational purposes.
Deleting your Simplift account does not automatically cancel an active Apple subscription. Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple and must be canceled separately through your Apple account settings.
10. Security
We use reasonable measures to help protect information processed through Simplift. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Children's Privacy
Simplift is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and address the issue.
12. International Use
If you use Simplift outside the country where our service providers operate, your information may be processed and stored in other countries where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Effective date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of Simplift after changes become effective means you accept the updated Privacy Policy.
